institution morzinoise"
La Chamade restaurant, first opened in Morzine
in 1969 by Mr and Mrs Thorens,
is where families used to meet after skiing to enjoy eating crepes.
Some years later they created on the first floor the Club Chamade
where the night birds met for dancing. It became the place to
appreciate the local specialities, cooked in a wooden oven and
enjoyed by candle light.
In the 1980's their son Thierry arrived
at the restaurant, after a long apprenticeship with top swiss
and french restauranteur. With his diploma and experience with
Paul Bocuse, Thierry has given a new style to the restaurant.
